Roulette Systems - Getting One That Works

April 30th, 2009

Entering a casino, or even an online casino, there is nothing to compare to the sound or anticipation of the roulette wheels spinning.

It even reminds us of our own life, and our personal wheel of fortune. Sometimes we will, sometimes we lose, but the wheel and life keep going on.

Professional gamblers and others have thought to beat the game, and use a roulette system.

They were and are wrong.

There is no way to anticipate a totally random event. Each spin of the wheel is unique from every other spin.

The only thing that can be anticipated is that the ball will land on a random number, and that the majority of people betting will have lost.

The odds for the house in roulette are very much in their favor. That is why the odds are so high on the single number bet (35 to 1).

Why do People Play Roulette if it’s So Hard to Win?

The answer is simple. People play roulette as it’s sexy and exciting.

The thrill of risk is so appealing to many people, and as roulette gives that thrill, its one of mankind’s favorite gambling game.

In one way or another, roulette has been used for thousands of years. Today’s game is very sophisticated, and offers a multitude of bets.

If There Are No Winning Systems, Do People Win at Roulette?

The answer is yes.

Although there is no way to predict either number or color of any spin, there are ways to insure the odds can be in your favor.

How can this be done?

First of all, stay away from the American roulette table. The double zero reduces the player’s odds than the European table. Play European Roulette.

The Two Ways to Bring the Odds towards the Player

There is no way to bring the odds totally in the player’s favor, but there are two methods to bring them toward the player, and get a fighting chance.

Method 1 Play Two Columns

If you look at the layout of the roulette table, there are three columns of 12 numbers each. If you place a bet on two of the three, the chances are in your favor that in 2 out of 3 spins you will win.

As the payout on the column is 2 to 1. So if you win 2 out of 3 times you are way ahead. Play columns.

Method 2 En Prison Rule

This is a rule that can give the player some advantage on the European table. ″En prison″ bets applies only to even-money bets.

The even money bets are odd and even, high and low and red or black. En prison means your bet is safe in case the spin turns up a zero.

Having bet ″en prison″ the player can take back either half of the bet or leave the whole bet until the next spin.

If the next spin be a zero as well, all the whole bet is lost. However.

Playing ″en prison″ the odds advantage of the casino on the ‘even-money bets’ reduces to half, meaning its 1.29% in the casino’s favor.

These odds are almost even and very good for the player and this is the best bet, with the best odds you can play so use it!

Mathematical systems don’t work, but the above two methods ( particularly en prison will give you a fighting chance with the best odds you can get for a game a chance and help you win at roulette .

Who Wins With Poker Promotions?

April 29th, 2009

Over the last few years, the card game of poker has turned into its own sport, with championship and world series games that are shown on television and covered in magazines. It would seem that a sport such as this which has so much media attention would not necessarily need promotional material, and yet there are a great number of poker promotions that exist.

Casinos that are located both in the physical realm as well as on the world wide web are known to supply potential players with poker promotions and there is a reason for this. While casinos are able to make money from players, and poker promotions are able to supply them with new players, the poker promotions that they use do not just benefit themselves as establishments of the sport of poker. Rather, some of the people that benefit the most from poker promotions are the players.

Many promotions include poker bonuses, which are free allotments of money that a player can use, in addition to the money that they put down for a game. The people who are lucky enough to get these promotions many times are able to then play, essentially, for free. This allows them some bonus time to challenge themselves mentally and partake in the exciting sport at no cost to themselves. This is how these benefits are not only a great benefit to the casino, which is then able to procure for themselves some potential new clients, but also for the players of the game of poker.

How To Extend Your Stay & Play At A Casino

How To Extend Your Stay & Play At A Casino

If you decided to build a new home, would you start construction without first developing a plan or blueprint? Or would you begin a new business without having a business plan? Would you go to war without knowing your enemy and having a predetermined plan for victory? Well why do you go to the casino without a plan for winning?

Winning is what it is all about. I have never lost money at a casino and felt good about it and if you are honest, neither have you. I work hard for my money and when I go to the casino I want to know I have extended my very best effort towards winning. It is a small consolation when I lose and I do lose a lot but I also win a lot.

Here are a few tips to extend your next gambling vacation or casino day trip:

Plan Your Trip

Make your visit to a casino more enjoyable by calling ahead and finding out what is happening at the casino you plan to visit. Ask questions about available comp promotions and entertainment options. Are tickets available to upcoming shows? Inquire about food establishments, when they are open and if they are offering any specials?

Also never nail yourself to one casino. Find out if there is a neighboring casino. If so, call them and ask them the same questions. You may want to plan a visit there. If you do plan to visit more than one casino, ask how much rated play is required at your host casino to have your room comped both at Casino Rates and fully comped (If you do not know what I mean by this, read Comps 101 or The Ask Game.).

Count Your Money

Before you go to a casino you should determine how much money you have to spend. Decide how long you plan to stay and divide your money up accordingly. If you have $200 and you plan to stay two days, plan on spending $100 per day. Or if you only plan to stay several hours you can divide your money by how many hours you staying.

Set your stop losses and stay with them.

Plan Your Play

Plan your play based on your bankroll. How much money you have should dictate how much you can wager on a single hand, throw of the dice or pull of the wheel. Use common sense and decide this before you leave home and stay with it. You should always have a good knowledge of the game you are playing if you play table games. Start slow and see if you are hot or cold. If you are winning, put some back for later. If you are losing, walk away. The tables will be there all night long. Do not try and create a hot streak. A good slots system should be studied and used if you play slots. Slots pay in trends. Take your time and look for a trend. Watch what is going on around you and make your decisions based on what you are seeing. If you are winning, put some back for later. If you are losing, walk away. The slots will be there all night long. Do not try to start a trend.

Take A Break

You should have planned other activities when you called ahead to the casino. Stay with your plan. Go to a show or eat your meals when planned. Get away from the action and clear your thoughts. If you have friends at the casino, meet with them and get their opinions about what is happening. My dad always said two heads were better than one even if one is a goat head.

Plan On Taking Money Home

I have visited casinos where every penny I put in the slot was gone with the pull and I was not smart enough to walk out of the casino. Do not be afraid to leave. Many people won’t leave a tight casino because they have just got there. You are not there to give your money away. You are there to have a good time and losing every dime you have is not having a good time. Leaving when you are broke is easy. No decision to make, you just leave. On the other hand, it is hard to head for the door when you are winning. In your planning you should always set a time to go to the room or to go home, win lose or draw.

If every time you hit a jackpot or have a hot streak at the tables you put some of your winning away and do not touch it till you leave the casino, you will never have a long ride home.

Setting a game plan and staying with it requires a lot of self discipline especially in the bright lights and hot action of a casino.

Happy Gambling!

Win at Online Gambling Part 1 Games of Chance

April 24th, 2009

If you want to win at online gambling beat the casino, at games of chance all you need to do is place bets with the best odds.

Most people who play games of chance never win gambling online as they don’t know the odds. Don’t make the same mistake, get the odds in your favor.

Here we will look at how you can do just that.

The games we will look at are: Baccarat, Roulette, craps and slots.

Why you must only play the bets with the best odds

If you play without the odds in your favor, you will not win gambling online. If you know the odds in these games, you can beat the casino.

As these are games of chance, there is nothing you can do to influence the result of the game. Systems will not help you win when gambling online as they are based on the premise you can influence the result by studying past results.

There is something you can do however.

You can increase your odds of success and win when gambling online and this is done simply by picking the bet with the best odds.

The theory of probability.

Probability is an area of mathematics that is concerned with calculating the likelihood of an event’s occurrence.

To simplify the theory, the probability is further expressed as a number between 1 and 0. With a probability of 1 an event is considered a certainty:

A good example is a coin toss. the probability of a coin toss resulting in either ″heads″ or ″tails″ is 1, because there are no other possibilities, as it is assumed the coin will land flat.

Sometimes an event can have a probability of .5, and then it is considered to have equal odds of occurring or not occurring:

As in the example of the coin toss, the probability of a coin toss resulting in ″tails″ is .5; because the toss is equally as likely to result in ″heads.″

To quantify uncertain measures of random events, probability theory applies sets of precise calculations. It is even part of a large part of math called non-linear dynamics (the Chaos Theory), and many studies have been conducted with games of chance as the subject.

The odds are what they are!

One of the basic errors many gamblers and the reason they never win when gambling online is their belief that the odds can get better if an event happens several times in succession.

For example, if heads tails comes up 10 or 50 times in a row, the odds do not change for tails coming up on the next toss. There will always be a 50 - 50% or .5.

A game YOU can Win At!

Casino Gambling Vocabulary

April 24th, 2009

If you are new to casino gambling, chances are, you’re thinking that you are surrounded by aliens who speak a different language. Newbies often complain that the only thing they understand is the word ″bet″. But don’t make the mistake of asking because by doing so, you attract unscrupulous individuals who will soon drain your pockets. Like most industries, casinos also have their own jargon and vocabularies. To avoid confusion and to get the most of your time in a casino, here are the most common casino speak you might hear the next time you go casino gambling.

To start off your casino gambling vocabulary, here are key money terms you should remember. ″Action″ refers to the cash wagered by a specific player within the game. This means activating the money or putting the money into play by betting. The term aggregate limit means the sum of the pay-outs the casino lost in any game. Aggregate winnings are the sum of your casino’s winnings, in other words, the money you lost to the casino. Of course, when someone tells you that you dropped your bankroll, do not reply that you didn’t withdraw anything. A bankroll or ″wad″ refers to your total casino wagering money. Since you don’t use actual money in placing bets, the bankroll is your lifeline inside the casino so don’t lose it. Contrary to the example, most people in the casino won’t tell you that you dropped your bankroll. You cannot place whole wads in a single bet because most games in the casino use betting limits. These indicate the least and most amounts of moolah you can place as a single bet.

There are several roles you might fill or characters you might encounter within the premises of the casino. If somebody asks if you are an active player, don’t answer that you’re new or whatever. As long as you are in a game or still playing in your current game, you are an active player. Being a banker or dealer means that you get to shuffle and deal the cards to the other players, so don’t sit and stare stupidly when given the deck and declared the banker. Pity the poor souls who are barred from casinos. Being barred means they are not allowed entrance to the casino, ever. Offer consolation when you hear someone in the casino saying that he is a candidate for the Vegas black book — this means that he is persona non grata in any Vegas casino. This is the end of his happy casino gambling days, so buy him a drink.

This is just to start you off with your gambling vocabulary so you won’t be a sitting duck when you go casino gambling. I stress, this list is by no means complete. Read casino books and visit online casinos or frequent casinos to brush up on casino gambling vocabulary. After all, knowing half of what your opponents are talking about is half the battle you would encounter in casino plays.

Gambling Strategies - How to Win More Consistently

April 21st, 2009

I’ve been to the casino several times in the past year, hoping to win a lot of money. Armed with several strategies, I’d always go there very determined. Unfortunately, I’d almost always go home dead broke. What was I doing wrong? How can you beat the casinos and get an advantage? In this article, I will be exploring some of these questions.

Strategies that don’t work at the casino

1) Double your bets for losses

This strategy does not work! It may work some of the time, but one day, it will come back to bite you. You will eventually come across a situation, like I have, where red, black, odd, or even, will come up 20 times in a row. At that point, you will have lost more money than you can possibly recover.

2) Getting greedy and chasing losses

Does not work. As in the above example, it will work some of the time. However, it will not work all of the time. When it doesn’t work, your losses will be massive, and so will your pain at the thought of losing all of your money.

3) Not being patient and betting too much

If you hope to succeed at gambling, you must be very patient and stick to a plan. Never deviate from your plan, and never get impatient.

How to win at gambling

This is the method that has been most successful for me.

1) Always bet on high odd gambles

For example, when playing Roulette, I’d never bet on individual numbers because the odds were too low. I’d almost always bet on red, black, odd, even, 1st dozen, 2nd dozen, etc. These bets offered the best chances for winning!

2) Be patient and don’t bet too much

If you are to survive long losing streaks, you must have a big enough bank roll to support your losses. In the off chance that red comes up 10 times in a row, if I’m only betting $4 per bet, the most I could lose is $40 (which is very recoverable).

3) Increase bets only after you’ve won money

This is how you can secure big wins. Start betting more only after you have gained a profit. When I was $50 ahead, I started doubling, or tripling my bets. Reinvest your wins back into your new bets. If you lose, it doesn’t really matter because you aren’t losing any of your own money.

Good luck, and next time you are gambling, remember some of these strategies. When you win, thank your lucky stars and quit while you are still ahead. Best of luck.

Win At Roulette - The Three Tips for Winning & Winning Big!

April 20th, 2009

Walking into to a busy casino there are many attractions to catch your eye.

However, none are as magical as the roulette wheel. It has almost a philosophical feeling to it. The spinning wheel reminds us of time passing and where the ball lands; our fate.

This experience is also now available on line and this article is all about how to win at roulette and win big!

Romantics aside, it's very difficult to win at roulette. Its fun, it's exciting, it's sexy, but it's expensive and if you are not careful, playing roulette can take all your money. However, there are three important tips, that if followed, evens out the odds to only slightly in the house's favor

Tip #1. Play the European Wheel

The American wheel has a double zero, and the extra slot increases the odds in favor of the house. As the zeros are neither odd nor even, red or black, two of them increases the houses' odds against you. Additionally the American wheel doesn't have the "en prison" bet for zero. En prison give you a chance to let the bets you made stand if zero appears, giving you another chance.

Tip #2 Bet the Even Odds

Although not as exciting as the combination bets and numbers with variants, betting the black or red, odd or even keeps you on the table longer and if you are somehow lucky, you can quickly double your money. As the odds anyway are about 50-50, you could play the same bet time after time.

The best bet of all though is:

The bet ‘en prison.’ If you make an even money bet and the ball hits on zero, you don’t lose your bet. Instead, your bet is ‘imprisoned’ (where the name comes from) and you carry it forward to the next spin.

If your bet wins, you remove it from the table. The house edge on this bet is just 1.35% on this bet and it is the bet with the best odds of all.

When you have realized you are ahead, go to Tip #3 immediately.

Tip #3 Stop While You Are Ahead

This doesn't sound like a tip to win at roulette, but it's the only tip you must follow with an iron will. It is a fact that the even if you minimize your odds down to even, the house will still have the advantage. You have played the correct wheel, had some fun and excitement, but time to go to the restaurant. Break the tension and go for a drink, or a bite to eat. You will soon lose the betting fever.

If you are after making money from gambling, roulette is not the game for it. Sometimes luck can arrive (or whatever name you wish to call it), and you cannot but win. Enjoy the run, try to leave while you are ahead, if not you can recall how you almost broke the bank at the casino.

Some facts you should know about roulette. The house is afraid for cheating from the croupiers. That is why there is a table chief, a spinner and the ever watchful eyes of the room chief that roams and remembers bets, players, signs between the croupiers and players. The game is very controlled. The odds favor the house.

Lastly we have to mention that the roulettes "systems" don't win. The past data of any game has no bearing on what will fall the next spin. If this is correct then the systems sold in books are worthless. Don't waste your money on them. Counting and keeping records mean nothing at all, as any mathematician will confirm as the odds in any event fall to 50/50, and therefore, akin to tossing a coin.

However, there is no game more glamorous, full of energy and suspense as roulette, and therefore can be a really enjoyable experience.
